The weekend weather will be several degrees colder than last weekend – but it’s still not winter with windy Autumn weather returning by Sunday in the deep south.

Despite the cooler change this weekend, many main centres should be settled and sunny – especially on Sunday.

A few showers will linger in the north on Saturday and then by late Sunday the next band of rain moves into Fiordland – otherwise, a high is rolling in for a few days.
