Weather Video: Unusual week of serious daily deluges for NZ

> From the WeatherWatch archives

New Zealand has a warmer than usual week ahead and the placement of high pressure around the country means we’re in for several more days of the same set up – coastal clouds (especially in the mornings) and afternoon downpours inland with isolated thunder, hail and a risk of severe thunder and even localised flash flooding (as we saw in Central Otago on Sunday).

Each day this week has a similar risk – but the risk zones in both islands do move around a bit.

We also take a look at the first couple days of weather in Australia and what that means for New Zealand in the second week of December.
