High pressure lies north of the country and to some degree over us keeping skies mostly dry, and winds fairly light. Tuesday is a fairly average day across the New Zealand and Wednesday looks fairly similar.
But as we head towards Thursday and Friday a nor’wester will kick in – then a burst of heavy rain for the West Coast, some spillover into Canterbury and wind, rain, showers then sun for the North Island.
