It’s been a rough day across the country with snow showers falling into Wellington, across Canterbury and Otago and now into the North island affecting the ranges of Waikato and even sleet in Auckland.
The cold southerly is moving up the North Island today and into Friday, while easing in the South Island gradually.
Frosts return as the high rolls in – and this same high brings in warmer weather by Sunday. Typical spring set up!
