A stormy spring system is bringing some snow to the South Island, gales to Auckland and heavy showers with hail across many parts of the country.
In Auckland winds have gusted over 120km/h on Monday morning making driving difficult.
The strong winds have also seen a few flights cancelled and diverted across the New Zealand.
The rough weather will ease on Tuesday but for some areas the winds will remain all week.
