Cyclone Hola has weakened a little today and is now tracking southwards towards New Caledonia then over the weekend it speeds up and heads towards New Zealand.
It’s still unclear if this storm will make landfall here or just brush by very close but either way New Zealand is now at a fairly high risk of being affected with severe weather and/or dangerous coastal and marine conditions.
Here’s the latest on the cyclone published on Friday PM.

Hi Phil
Great coverage as usual. I see JTWC have now moved the track west also so there no seems to be a general agreement.
It is going to be nasty prior to actual landfall by the looks
Cheers
Dave
