Weather Video: Second half of the school holidays has good and bad news

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We’re in the second week of the school hols and the forecast is looking fairly good with some positives and some negatives. We’ll start with the bad news and that’s that more showers are in the forecast for western areas.

But the good news is that there will not only be plenty of dry spells, but it will also be milder than average for the entire week both daytime and nighttime for most regions – especially in the east. This is due to more westerlies and fewer southerlies.

Inland and eastern areas look sunniest and driest. However this coming weekend we have another wind and rain event, this one may be more nationwide than the wet and windy weather this past weekend.
