A low pressure system is making its way towards the country, which should bring showers to much of both Islands.
Periods of patchy rain are in store for the North Island first, but will cross over south on Thursday.
There is a possibility of fog on Thursday due to that slow moving system, but good news for Southland and Otago – a large high is hot on its heels!
