This weekend we will see the looming low start to exert itself on the country, though the dominating high still sits over most of the country.
Saturday should see a decent spot or two of patchy rain in the far north, as well as some possibly gale force winds in marine areas as the two systems collide.
On Sunday that rain should spread itself further south, and increase in intensity in the Coromandel.
