After weeks of large lows New Zealand finally has some large high pressure coming our way. This means lighter winds, drier skies and fewer clouds overall.
In saying that it’s not perfectly settled with some wet weather brushing Southland (sorry!) and Fiordland.
Next week high pressure remains fairly strong around NZ but it looks as though those daily afternoon downpours return to both islands with a chance of thunder.
We’re also keeping an eye on the tropics with cyclone potential remaining in the Coral Sea next week.
