High pressure continues to dominate New Zealand but there will be more downpours today, mostly in the Central North Island area, but a few in the upper North Island too.
The South Island remains mostly dry and settled. As we head into a Friday a sub-tropical low to the north will develop and a slight shift in wind flows should mean most of these daytime downpours stop.
By Saturday a large sub-tropical low may be bringing some rain into Northland but most other regions look dry.
Sunday sees the low fall apart and high pressure build – in fact high pressure is likely to dominate right through next week and next weekend in New Zealand – the flip side being more rain for Aussie’s east coast.
