We have a lot going on around New Zealand weatherwise today, tonight and Friday morning as ex-cyclone Fehi crosses the South Island and clears away.
Rain will be heavy in both islands with a chance of flooding, especially the lower South Island.
Winds will be strong in the South Island with a chance of wind damage today. There are a lot of moving parts to this storm but it is moving through fairly quickly and should be easing overnight and Friday morning.
Here’s the latest outlook up until Sunday across New Zealand.
