Ex-cyclone Debbie continues to unleash a torrent of rain over Queensland with half a metre (500mm) expected for some areas.
The low is going to weaken considerably over the next 48 hours then drift out into the Tasman Sea.
Next week the remnants may organise themselves into a deeper low with heavy, sub-tropical, rain over the North Island. Rainfall amounts next week could be considerable.
