Weather Video: Drier weather returns

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure is dominating the South Island and a big chunk of the North Island this week and into the weekend.

A few showers are possible here and there – especially very top and very bottom.

Over the weekend the high settles across the South Island while an east to south east flow spreads over the North Island. A few showers on Saturday are likely in northern and north eastern areas.

Meanwhile the threat of another tropical cyclone, brought up by other forecasters, still looks to be a non-event for NZ in our view, but we’ll continue to monitor its progress in the long range projections.

Muchas gracias for that Phil, that’s an important forecast here. “Over the weekend the high settles across the South Island while an east to south east flow spreads over the North Island.”
