Tuesday is another very humid, showery, day across the North Island with some heavy falls with isolated thunderstorms expected this afternoon.
By Wednesday a very light SW change moves through and this should see most afternoon downpours retreating to the ranges and well inland.
As showers ease in the North Island they may bubble up in more places in the South Island. Overall many places look mainly dry in the week ahead, including the long weekend for half of the country this weekend – but a few downpours will still be in the mix, we track where.
