The same big high that has brought brilliant “late summer” weather to many parts of New Zealand over the past five days continues to remain in charge – but time is running out.
Over the next 48 to 72 hours the high will continue to slowly slip away to the east, allowing a low in the Tasman Sea to track eastwards towards the country and deepen a little further – bringing rain or showers over Friday and Saturday, then a cooler south west change for Saturday and/or Sunday.
But is another high looming for the week after?
