The large area of low pressure affecting New Zealand’s weather all this week will finally drift away from the country on Friday leaving a cooler, windier and showery south to southwesterly nationwide. This will linger into Saturday but fades on Sunday as high pressure moves across the country.
The high continues on Monday too, bringing settled weather for most regions.
However, by Tuesday to Wednesday next week, another large low in the Tasman Sea is forming and this may bring heavy rain back to northern NZ with sub-tropical connections. One to watch.
