Just like last week we have another cold blast spreading northwards and will affect both islands by tomorrow and Thursday.
Snow will fall to a couple hundred metres in the south although totals may not be much for some areas due to a fairly dry set up.
However unlike last week it appears that this weekend it will be high pressure dominating, not low pressure. It may be a windy with westerlies in the South Island by the weekend with some rain on the West Coast otherwise it looks dry for many.
Next week there may be both a Tasman Sea low and a Sub-tropical low forming so mid June is looking busy weather wise around New Zealand.
