A couple of low pressure systems are heading towards the North Island, however both are weakening.
Eastern sides of the North Island look most exposed to rain or showers, especially the Gisborne area.
Manawatu may see a few showers however nothing widespread or significant enough to reverse the very dry conditions in that region.
Waikato may see an isolated shower, especially early next week, otherwise mostly dry. Another high will brush past Southland and Otago helping to block colder weather from the Southern Ocean from heading north.
