There are just a couple of small weather risks about the country today, as we look at another settled (and warmer!) start to the morning.
Northwesterly winds will gust a little strong at times about the lower South Island – and also inland areas by the late afternoon and into the evening.
These will be strongest about the usual spots (river gorges, valleys, exposed areas etc).
Fiordland will be wet again, but that rain may become heavy in patches after sunset and through the night.
Cook Strait is heading for a gusty evening too, with northwesterlies strengthening overnight.
