We recently got a question from a family living in Florida,USA and they wanted to know when the best time of the year to visit New Zealand was.
This family of 5 want to enjoy the sights and sounds of the country and have never been to New Zealand before.
When do you think the best time of the year is or does it not really matter perhaps?
Also they asked where the best places are to go and perhaps the ones that may not be so award winning.

Best time to visit to NZ – March/April any year.Humidity has dropped , generally settled with light winds, still good daylight hours and all the rats are back at school!

February… Nice and warm throughout, did an 11 day motorcycle trip a couple of years ago… 9 of the 11 days were rain-free

The uncomfortable energy sapping humidity is gone, yet there is still plenty of warmth and sun. School holidays have been so it depends if you want to meet loads of kids in holiday spots. Go to goat island, near leigh on a week day. Mathesons bay near by is a great safe swimming spot, then if a windy day a walk along pakiri beach to blow away any cobwebs while the kids run up and down the huge sand dunes.

my daughter and husband came over from orlando fl in late sept ,it was great ,we walked through kauri forests and rock pools at north auckland beaches, did the rotorua and tourist things but would suggest march, the scenery is free in nz,no alligators ,snakes.spiders and best of all no fire ants.
