Here’s what is making the weather headlines this Weekend.
SETTLED ON SUNDAY
The weather for today is basically wet in the west, dry in the east. On Sunday a ridge of high pressure moves in bringing mainly settled conditions, we still see some cloud in the west with a few showers although they will become few and far between from afternoon. Eastern regions are mostly sunny after any morning cloud clears.
LOW MAY BRING STRONG WINDS / HEAVY RAIN – 29th JUNE
A low moves near the upper North Island on around the 29th June, this could bring strong southeasterly winds with a chance of gales about some coastal parts.
Heavy rain could be an issue too, if this occurs eastern Northland, Coromandel and East Cape are the most likely candidates to receive the heaviest falls. More about this on Monday.
