TEMPERATURES WARM IN THE EAST AND NORTH
Afternoon temperatures for eastern regions and most of the North Island will likely get into the early to mid twenties today, the eastern North Island will likely see the warmest highs getting into the late twenties.
CANTERBURY MAY SEE RAIN ON THURSDAY
The outlook for the week ahead is wetter weather in the west, drier weather in the east, for the most part. However, a southerly change moving into Canterbury on Thursday does look to bring in some rain. Starting out as showers at first, perhaps even becoming heavy with thunder and hail, spreading out into rain during the evening then clearing up overnight.
Friday through to Sunday brings a further risk of showers for Canterbury, late Saturday into Sunday morning this may turn to rain for a time.
