Here’s what is making the weather headlines today.
SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS UPPER NI EASING
Southeasterlies for the upper North Island will ease today, winds may be strong about eastern coastal spots from East Cape through to eastern Northland this morning but by this evening winds should have eased a substantial amount.
DAY TIME HIGHS FAIRLY COOL THIS WEEK
Temperatures are not looking all that warm this week for most, Northland will have the warmest temperatures hanging around the mid teens. It’s not till we get to about Friday or this weekend that highs in the east will reach into the mid teens also thanks to a northerly airflow developing around then.
NEXT FRONT DUE THIS WEEKEND
The weather is going to be fairly settled this week thanks to high pressure. Our next front is due this weekend moving in from the southwest for the South Island on Saturday then the North Island on Sunday, most of the rain will be in the west but a few showers or spits may work their way into eastern regions.
