SUNDAYS WEATHER

High pressure moves over the South Island today, it’s still quite cloudy in the east but Central Otago should be mostly sunny after any morning cloud clears. Southland and coastal Otago sees cloud break mid to late afternoon. Cloud breaks for the rest of the east coast late afternoon or evening.

Fiordland and South Westland are sunny, further north there is some cloud and a few showers thanks to a trough, cloud pushes into South Westland from the north later in the evening. Nelson and Marlborough have partly cloudy skies.

Cloudy for the eastern North Island with showers. Out west skies are sunnier, a few showers possible for Northland though especially in the afternoon. South to southeasterly winds.
