Here’s what is making the weather headlines today.
SHOWERS IN THE WEST AND SOUTH
A west to southwesterly airflow lies over the country today, expect showers for the West Coast and about the far south. The western North Island may have a shower or two (more so this morning) otherwise conditions are mainly dry.
Eastern regions by and large are dry and sunny, East Cape has a few showers this morning but they quickly clear.
CONDITIONS QUITE DRY
Fairly dry for the next seven days thanks to plenty of high pressure, the South Island especially. The North Island picks up more easterly quarter air flows with lows coming close moving in from the north, these easterlies bring a higher chance of rain or showers on Monday and Tuesday next week then again on Thursday and Friday.
COOL NIGHTS INLAND – SOUTH ISLAND
Frosts are not likely however morning temperatures for the inner South Island will be a little cool this morning through to Sunday morning.
