Here’s what is making the weather headlines today.
CONDITIONS EASE TODAY
While conditions do ease today in terms of the unstable weather we had yesterday, there is still likely to be showers about for many regions especially in the west and about the far south. Some in the east do get the odd shower though.
The lower North Island (Manawatu / Wairarapa) may see heavy showers with thunderstorms and hail then easing this afternoon.
HUMIDITY GONE
If it has felt a little humid lately it will feel more comfortable today, it may have actually felt a bit more comfortable for the last few days. Why? The dewpoint temperature has dropped with drier air moving in from the west / southwest.
Look at the map below, the brighter colours represent drier air while the blue to the north and northeast is more humid air.
WHEN IS THE NEXT HIGH?
There is more unsettled weather on the way, it must be said. Our next high looks to be due sometime in early December, the 5th December more accurately although this date will likely vary between now and then.
