Cloud develops in the east on Sunday

A cold front well out to our east moves through on Sunday, while New Zealand is mostly covered by high pressure some cloud gets drawn into the eastern South Island from the front bringing the chance of a light shower or two and cooler temperatures, this hangs around on Monday and spreads to the eastern North Island.

Humidity levels boost up towards the end of the month

As we get into the last 5 days of the month humidity levels around the North Island will lift quite a bit with dewpoint temperatures getting into the late teens for the North Island or perhaps even early twenties. Anything above a 15 degree dewpoint starts to feel uncomfortable and muggy, a 20 degree dewpoint keeps you up at night.
