A settled weekend but it’s not all sunshine
This weekend is looking mainly settled and warm, cloud does start to thicken up about the eastern South Island later today though. This cloud hangs around on Sunday and may deliver a light shower or drizzle patch then spreads to the eastern North Island in the second half of the day or perhaps not till evening.
Showers or maybe some rain in the north early next week
There is still the potential for some rain or showers about the upper North Island early next week, maybe just Northland catches anything reasonable on Monday then rain may be a little more widespread on Tuesday.
Unstable conditions possible Tuesday
Very humid surface conditions on Tuesday may see unstable conditions in the afternoon for upper parts of the North Island, this can lead to isolated heavy downpours and possible thunderstorms. Something to keep an eye on.
