A cool southerly heads up over the mainland this morning and then the lower half of the North Island later but very little moisture if any is expected. Some cloud may develop in a number of areas as the wind changes but that may be all.
This front doesn’t appear to contain much oomph and we have to wait until later in the week when a more vigorous front is expected to deliver a bit more of a punch to parts of the country.
Temperatures today should be near normal for the latter part of April, although as the southerly kicks in over eastern districts, a drop in temperature could be quite obvious.

As far as rain perhaps no oomp but what about the wind speed which the average is higher that of a deep depression arriving from the west.
