A northerly flow across the country is seeing temperatures climb this afternoon into the late teens and even 20 across the North Island.
Pockets of the South Island are also enjoying warmer conditions, although not as high as the North Island.
Gisborne has this hour reached 20 degrees while Whangarei, Palmerston North and Ohakea are close on 19.
18 degrees is being recorded in Auckland, Hamilton, Whitianga, Hawera and Levin.
Wellington has 16 and Christchurch a mild 15.
Kaikoura, Wanaka and Queenstown are the three coolest centres on 11 degrees.

Only an hour or two here,when the sun finally shone about mid day then temperatures back to more what we have accustomed to in he last 3-4 months
