Temperatures are set to rise over 20 degrees today in a number of regions today following a warm and mostly sunny start to Tuesday.
As of 11:30am temperatures in both islands were closing in on 20.
It’s currently 19 degrees in Christchurch and Hastings.
It’s 18 degrees in Whangaparaoa, Whakatane and Gisborne while Auckland, Kaikohe, Tauranga, Hawera, Wanganui, Ohakea, Blenheim and Kaikoura all over 17.
Hokitika and Lumsden remain the coolest centres on 9 degrees this hour.
