The weekend is upon us and the big high from this week is departing, allowing for a southerly change up the South Island and a developing low to move into the North Island. T
he low will affect both islands this weekend, mostly the North Island. Next week kicks off with southerly quarter winds for many areas ahead of a very large high arriving by Wednesday and lingering until next weekend (when the next low pressure system comes in from the west).
