A southerly is coming, then low pressure for Monday – and next week easterlies dominate NZ with plenty of rain and showers along the eastern side of the country.
Canterbury looks most exposed to heavy rain with over 100mm possible – increasing the risk of slips and localised flooding in the five days ahead. Western areas next week will be drier. But colder air is certainly about to move into NZ after another incredibly warm week.
Australia has a lot of high pressure but next week the Autumn westerlies wake up again with a big blast of wind and showers along the southern coastline from Perth to Melbourne and Hobart.
We have your forecast through to Thursday next week.
