VIDEO: Wintry blast peaks on Tuesday, snow, gales & squalls

Winter weather conditions return to NZ for Monday and Tuesday as two cold fronts sweep over the nation bringing a cold SW flow.

Snow is likely to low conditions in the South Island – although totals a low levels won’t be much.

Snow will fall north of Gisborne on Tuesday in the ranges – meaning Waikato’s Kaimai and Coromandel Range may also get a dusting at the top.

But it’s all short lived with spring-like Westerlies returning on Weds/Thur.
