A storm near Antarctica and a huge high pressure zone over Australia sum up our weather pattern for the last week of winter on the meteorological calendar.
A weak cold front brushes Tasmania today and will move up NZ this weekend – bringing a colder, showery, Sunday and Monday into a number of regions and another dusting of snow on the ranges of both main islands. However next week in NZ is dominated by that high pressure zone out of Australia, with a spell of settled weather.
We have your weekend weather and the outlook for the last week of August across New Zealand and Australia.
**Programming Note**: Next week (last week of August) we have NO videos on either Tuesday 29th or Thursday 31st, due to travel reasons (but also timed with very quiet weather!). But please note next Friday we have TWO videos – our regular weather forecast plus our next edition of ClimateWatch, covering September and Spring.

Excellent video as per usual Phil, very informative and easy to understand and interspersed with smiles and ad hoc info. Thank you.
