Friday sees a cold front in NZ with a burst of western rain & showers, snow on the mountains and a surge of windier weather.
The windier weather will be more sou-west on Friday but in the days and week ahead it will turn more westerly – a big wall of westerly wind from southern Western Australia to Tasmania and straight into much of NZ – with the South Island and lower North Island most exposed.
This windy westerly will feel very spring-like and will push temperatures in eastern areas of both NZ and Australia into the low to mid 20s. We have your forecast through to Monday of next week.
