VIDEO: Two more Southern Ocean storms, more showers for drought zones, storm surge in Wellington today

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Northern NZ has plenty of showers coming over the next 10 days while the Southern Ocean is already showing stormy signs ahead with more big lows already in action.

This big storms should stay mainly south of NZ (like the one this week) but will be close enough to bring gales, rain and more snow to some parts of the country.

But it’s not all wet and windy for New Zealand – some regions have plenty of sun on the way and some, like Canterbury, may have 10 dry days ahead.
