This week has a mixture of low pressure and high pressure for NZ, while Australia mostly has high pressure – although an active cold front is coming to south eastern states later this week.
For NZ low pressure will dominate the North Island for the next day or two, then high pressure briefly comes in bringing more settled and dry weather pretty much nationwide.
But this weekend another low pressure zone in the Tasman Sea moves in with sub-tropical winds and some northern and western rain. It’s not yet looking like a storm – but it may produce some isolated pockets of severe wind and rain this coming weekend in the north.
