VIDEO: This is a surreal time, so let’s find positives in weather

> From the WeatherWatch archives

As New Zealanders wrap their heads around these changing times it’s comforting to know the weather will just keep doing its thing.

We take a positive look at the rainfall forecast for some dry parts of northern NZ.

We also track the cool changes moving in and around parts of the South Island. Stay strong. Kia Kaha. Be kind to one another.

Have a great weekend, New Zealand!

You’re a sweetheart, Phil, thanks for all the great info every day, much appreciated 🙂

Hi Phil

Thanks for the video, info and staying so cheerfully positive. We spent last week cleaning out 4 1000l cubic containers. They are now installed catching rainwater from porch and cabin roofs. As they are not opaque it’s not potable water, but we are successfully using it for the washing machine and toilet flushing. Yesterday we got over 100l. That’ll take the pressure off the main tank for a while.

Fingers crossed for rain on Monday.

PS Is it possible to add a photo here?

I was going to say next time tell the populace that “we make dunny paper in our country, just like water flour and avocadoes” But then I thought how many weather watchers would be filling the spare room with the stuff anyway.

Hahaha!! So true – our audience is a little smarter 🙂
Have a great weekend David,

Hi Phil

I have quite a lot of mushrooms at my place so the soil must be wet enough now for them at least

Cheers Dave

Totally agree and like your comments Phil. NZ is the best little country in the world

Great video Phil and I concur with your sentiments as it’s just what we need to get away from the coronavirus data that is flooding the news etc.

We do live in the best place on the planet and people need to realise that and be thankful.

Have a good weekend.
