Spring blasts of severe weather will push through both NZ and Australia over the coming week.
For NZ it means heavy South Island snow, heavy West Coast rain and winter temperatures in Southland.
For Australia it means windy weather and bursts of cold from the south.
Next week, from Tuesday in NZ, drier weather and high pressure over Tasmania will block those westerlies for a time…then a sub-tropical low for later next week for northern NZ while a storm moves in near Perth.
