Gales, heavy downpours and a drop in temperatures will impact NZ today, but off and on for another week ahead.
While Thursday does see a brief lift in temperatures it comes with windy westerlies – and is also ahead of the next cool down for southern NZ on Friday.
Friday will also be even windier through Central NZ with gusts over 150km/h on the ranges.
