We may be heading into winter next week but an Autumn blast will be dominating. What is the difference between an Autumn blast and a Winter blast? Good question! Autumn blasts tend to be more westerly driven, with both mild winds and cooler winds in the mix.
Winter blasts are more about snow and cold and southerlies dominating the main severe weather.
While Aussie will have some polar aspects to the weather, NZ’s main focus next week will be in the form of heavy western rain and severe gales from the north west on both Monday and again on Wednesday.
Still a lot to lock in – but today’s video shows you the Big Picture for the weekend and the possible outlook to Wednesday next week as Autumn roars back into life.
