The changeable spring-like weather pattern will stay over New Zealand for the rest of December, and for some regions, maybe as late as mid-January. You can blame (or thank) El Nino for encouraging this weather pattern.
However, spring is all about hot and cold – and this weekend things warm back up again, with a hot day coming for eastern parts of the South Island on Monday. But – by Tuesday yet another cool change moves back up NZ (with a burst of rain and showers).
For Christmas Day – looks like a high rolling in!
