A tropical cyclone is forming this weekend in the Coral Sea and will drift towards northern NZ early next week.
Tuesday looks likely to be the main day the storm moves by – it’s unclear if it will directly impact northern NZ or remain offshore.
Elsewhere high pressure remains dominant with at least two big highs coming in for the rest of March
