VIDEO: Special sports forecast for America’s Cup Parade & final Lions Test

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Auckland is home to two significant sporting events in the next few days. Thursday is the parade for the America’s Cup and, sadly, the forecast looks a bit wet. While dry spells will be around in the morning it’s likely they will fade around lunchtime as rainy areas move in. There is a chance it could arrive late, so Thursday’s forecast still remains a bit 50/50 for the parade but chances are there will be some wet weather so bring a jacket.

Then we zip ahead to Saturday for the important final test at Eden Park as New Zealand takes on the Lions. Saturday itself doesn’t look too bad, but once again the latest data suggests rain clouds will be arriving at night time…once again, jackets may be needed.
