VIDEO: Some rain coming for dry regions, Weekend looks fairly dry but a few showers

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The intense rain that moved up the West Coast on Tuesday with spectacular rainfall totals is now falling apart and weakening as it moves into the North Island. There will be some relief in northern areas from this front and again another front arriving on Monday.

The weekend is looking mostly settled but there may be a few showers, especially in the upper North Island on Saturday.

Next week, as we say another front arrives on Monday and this may be the best shot in a while at rain in the dry north.

High pressure returns next week with more dry and warmer than average weather coming in April.
