VIDEO: Showers, some wind but plenty more high pressure

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The forecast to Saturday shows a couple of cold fronts and a weak sub-tropical low influencing New Zealand’s weather – along with another huge high pressure belt coming out of Australia.

Generally speaking most places don’t have much rain in the week ahead – but northern NZ has plenty of showers and cloud along with east to north east winds.

High pressure again rolls in this weekend but a cold front on Friday brings some rain and snow to the South Island.
