No silver bullet for the droughts but definitely some helpful isolated downpours today and a few more showers are expected in Northland on Thursday.
High pressure is expanding elsewhere.
Over the weekend rain returns to the West Coast – the remnants of what was a cyclone in northern Australia last week.
It may not bring a lot to the North Island though – however next Tuesday there does appear to be the chances of showers again in the upper North Island’s drought zones.

Hi Ross
Still appears to be there for me https://www.ruralweather.co.nz/
Any luck with the above link? It takes a few moments to load. In 3 or so weeks rural weather will be transferred to the amazon servers meaning quicker load times.
Cheers
Aaron
