Severe westerly gales will affect both NZ & Australia over the next few days as stormy weather in the Southern Ocean interacts with high pressure further north.
From Perth to Adelaide, to Melbourne to Hobart, to Wellington – these windy conditions will prevail until the weekend.
This Saturday a wintry change arrives in southern NZ and slides up the eastern side of the country on Sunday bringing a temperature drop following a milder than usual week ahead.
Heavy Rain: Both NZ and Australia also have heavy rain over the next 48 to 72 hours – we have special maps for both nations showing the totals.
